A few steps from the Saint-Sulpice church, there's another saint, the Saint-Pourçain. David Lanher runs this address. A little bourgeois décor (dark blue façade and 100% Baumann terrace furniture) and a regular clientele. The menu is elaborated from market products and everything is freshly cooked. Mathieu Techer, who has worked at Senderens and Sergeant Recruteur, knows how to titillate our tastebuds with its half-baked courgettes, butterflies and asparagus cream. The pork filet mignon, beetroot and orange marmalade is perfectly cooked to let it soft and the salty-sweet is very successful. As for the dessert, the rum baba that you never get tired of is a beautiful punctuation.

Peu de couverts en salle, avec la cuisine ouverte, mais c’est dans le thème ici : on fait partie des privilégiés de chaque service. Suggestions à l’ardoise qui changent tous les jours, quelques recettes star, un voyage gastronomique au prix d’un bistrot chic. Original, savoureux, frais en bouche, malin, la cuisine est un atout rare.
Le jour J, mention spéciale à la glace à la moutarde qui accompagnait la fraîcheur de radis, à la pointe de chou-fleur qui se marrie si bien avec l’iode de l’huître. Bar en majesté, suggestions de vin à l’avenant.
N’en parlons pas trop, mais on s’est régalé…
