Flamboyant Gothic and Renaissance church in Paris
Construction of the church of Saint-Étienne-du-Mont, just behind the Panthéon, began in 1492 and was completed in 1622. Given this long time span, it's hardly surprising that the church displays features of both the flamboyant Gothic and Renaissance styles. Its monumental rood screen is unique in Paris. Also worth seeing are the stained glass windows and a fragment of the sarcophagus that contained the remains of Geneviève, patron saint of Paris.
