More than for beer, we come to the Pub Saint-Michel for the atmosphere. Every evening amateur singers fight the microphone for a karaoké karaoke. The place is overflowing with life as well as a DJ or a game. In the latter case, the atmosphere touches its height! Even if the pub extends over several levels, some nights, it's almost impossible to find any place to sit down… which can quickly get tired. But who said we were going to sit down?

je viens de voir l'article de Liberation sur l'agression de 3 personnes étrangères par des clients de votre établissement, c'est immonde que vos enregistrement de camera surveillance ont été effacé , c'est une image déplorable de la France que l'on offre, ou la devise liberté , égalité , fraternité perds son sens:.

I used to have a drink there quite regularly, chatting in English with some foreign friends. A video was recently released showing off duty policemen violently assault 3 arab-speaking persons who were refused entry. A witness stated that a verbal altercation led to the assault, with said policemen stating "you're in France, talk in French". This isn't an "alleged assault": the video shows without a shred of a doubt the policemen, who also confessed when interrogated. The pub's CCTV recordings were already deleted when investigators tried and seize them the next day - voluntary or not, you'll be the judge of that. It goes without saying that I won't set foot there anymore as i don't want to put my friends' security in jeopardy. The whole event was detailed in French media (Libération).
