The Pont Marie, one of the oldest bridges in Paris, dates back to Louis XIII and links the heart of Ile Saint-Louis to the Marais.
Named after its builder, Christophe, this bridge is one of the oldest in Paris. It dates back to the reign of Louis XIII (17th century) and has been altered several times. Linking the heart of the Île Saint-Louis to the Marais, the Pont Marie once supported houses, some of which collapsed in 1658 when two of its arches collapsed due to flooding on the Seine. The Pont Marie, designed to serve the Île Saint-Louis when it was urbanized in the 17th century. Today, it's one of the capital's most poetic bridges.

Le pont n'a rien d'exceptionnel mais il offre une belle vue sur Notre-Dame. Depuis le Marais, il permet de traverser la Seine.
