Museum created in 1902, with a permanent exhibition built around the major events in Victor Hugo's life

It is in an apartment located on the second floor of the Hotel de Rohan-Guéménée that Victor Hugo lived from 1832 to 1848. The museum was created in 1902, the centenary of the writer's birth. The permanent exhibition is built around the major fact of his life: his exile. Although he only lived in this apartment for 16 years, the museum's collection is impressive: first editions, paintings, sculptures, drawings, photographs, caricatures... Temporary exhibitions regularly present the life and work of the great writer.

레미제라블 삼총사 철가면 노트르담의파리 등을 집필한 위대한 대문호의 집을 간접 경험할수있어 좋았어요 인테리어가 생각보다 화려해서 조금 놀랐어요 무료라 더욱 감사했습니다

A fascinating stop to learn more of the era and life of Victor Hugo, and see where he lived. I was imagining him writing in the very dark green walled room that was his study. No entrance fee to visit.
