Located in Paris, this museum and documentation center is one of Europe's leading institutions for the memory of the Shoah and the study of 20th-century genocides. The permanent exhibition retraces the history of the Shoah through archival documents, personal accounts and historical objects. You can also discover temporary exhibitions that delve deeper into themes related to crimes against humanity. In this emblematic site, you'll find the Wall of Names, which honors the 76,000 Jews deported from France between 1942 and 1944, and the Wall of the Righteous, dedicated to those who helped save them during the Occupation. You can also discover a crypt, a place of meditation, which preserves the ashes of victims of the concentration camps and the Warsaw ghetto. The Memorial's documentation center offers a vast collection of archives, books and photographs for further research. Meetings, conferences and screenings are regularly organized to provide food for thought on these historic events. The institution also offers an educational program for young visitors and teachers, including workshops and guided tours. Access is free and open to all, so that everyone can discover this place dedicated to memory and education.
