Inside, the theatre's seating capacity has been maintained at 950, and the same cream-colored seats have been reinstalled as during the last major restructuring in 1968. The programming is intended to be "popular".

Read moreThe theatre is located in a historic site built in 1676, the Hotel de Charny. Baudelaire lived there and Cézanne set up a workshop. Michel Bouttier and Sissia Buggy opened the Espace Marais in a wing previously occupied by a chocolate factory. Special feature of the hall: spectators surround the stage, you can be seated in an armchair or on a bench on the side - lower rates. Throughout the year, the programme features a large number of classics by Molière, Beaumarchais, Marivaux, Voltaire, Feydeau or adaptations of literary texts by Camus, Zweig, Sartre or Genet. The theatre is also a place for training - courses and workshops for all ages and levels.
