Former bakery in Paris serving a menu of truffles, meat, seasonal dishes based on good products.
Just a stone's throw from the Seine and the gallery owners of rue des Barres, this chic brasserie has been open for years in this former bakery. Chez Julien is all about traditional dishes made with excellent ingredients, revisited just right by the inventiveness of chef Helmi Derbal. Whether inside, decorated in the style of the 1900s, or on the pretty terrace, the dishes all follow a common theme: truffles, of which the house is a Mecca. To come here is to spend a timeless moment, but reservations are recommended. A sure bet!

Whenever I go to Paris, I choose to have dinner at this restaurant. This time it wasn't so pleasant to my surprise. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and as soon as we arrived the receptionist was very unfriendly. They placed us outside the restaurant in a corridor that is completely unacceptable considering the amount spent. There should be an option in the reservation whether the person wants to stay inside or outside. And since there is no option to ask for preference, it is the least bit of respect for the customer.

I only had drinks while stopping by. Chez Julien is such a gorgeous restaurant with very friendly staff offering prompt services.

Esperaba más de este restaurante. El servicio ha sido regular y la comida un poco escasa. No obstante el restaurante está muy bien ubicado y tiene buen ambiente.
