A museum dedicated to the history of Paris, with a rich collection of remarkable pieces.

After several years of renovation, the Carnavalet Museum finally reopened in May 2021. The architecture has been enhanced, many works restored, and new spaces opened. Located in the heart of the Marais district, this museum dedicated to the history of Paris boasts a wealth of collections: drawings, sculptures, paintings, objects from prehistory to the present day... Highlights include the Neolithic pirogues from Bercy, the Saint-Eloi scroll, signs from the 16th to 20th centuries, photographs by Nadar, Doisneau, and Cartier-Bresson... A must-see!

What an intriguing museum! I walked in without much expectations but was pleasantly surprised at how history can be demonstrated on the most immersive manner. Its a shame the beautiful courtyard & cafe is open only during summers. Suggest to walk from topmost level of French revolution to lower most level of new France

Muyyy bonito, alli encontraras la historia de Paris, muy bien documentada en francés, ingles y Español ????. Es bello ver cual ha sido la evolución de esta ciudad.
Es gratis y en un sitio muy bonito, al lado de un parque maravilloso, de una heladería ???? y restaurantes muy bellos.
