Museum of paintings, sculptures and other treasures, housed in the Hôtel Donon in the heart of Paris.

The Musée Cognacq-Jay is housed in the charming Hôtel Donon (16th and 17th centuries). It houses the collections of Ernest Cognacq and Marie-Louise Jay, the couple responsible for the creation of the Samaritaine department stores. Enthralled by 18th-century France, the Cognacq-Jays collected numerous treasures from this period, which they bequeathed to the City of Paris in 1928. The museum invites visitors to discover these treasures, and also offers a number of thematic guided tours, temporary exhibitions and workshops.

Belle suprise
Musée gratuit qui appartient à la mairie de Paris. Très beau bâtiment et belle collection d'un couple qui a accumulé les objets plus ou moins impressionnants et pièces artistiques. Joli moment à passer dans ce musée. La visite se fait à l'aide de fiches plastifiées présentes dans chaque pièce qui vous aident à faire seul votre visite. Très pratique! Accueil à l'entrée sympathique.

Ce petit musée situé dans un bel hôtel particulier gagnerait à être connu. Les petites expositions temporaires sont très chouettes.

Musée de la ville de Paris situé en plein cœur de Marais, la visite des collections permanentes est gratuite. Celles-ci concernent le XVIIIe siècle et valent la peine d'y consacrer une à deux heures. Elles sont en effet très variées : boiseries, meubles, tableaux, sculptures, porcelaine de Saxe...
