The King of Spades is a little bit of the coffee of the neighborhood's friends, in the heart of the Marais and its upscale boutiques. If the garden looks like a little dusty, the atmosphere is absolutely festive. When the beautiful days come back, the terrace opens and, this is the strength of this bistro, often there is room. The price is rather good and the house kitchen is worth a visit. Every day, a menu is made with fresh products. One of the best addresses in the area, one of the only bars contrasting in the general atmosphere of the Marais!

A thoroughly enjoyable lunch featuring simple yet high-quality flavours. The tuna steak was cooked to perfection and complemented by well-prepared vegetables. Excellent value at under €20—well worth it.

We stumbled into this bistrot by accident, but we had an authentic great experience. Sitting at one of the small round tables and people-watching is how I imagine the burgeoisie spends their mornings. We had croque messieurs, the cheese platter and coffee. The dishes were flavorful, but nothing special.
The service was excellent, very friendly and attentive waiters.
The atmosphere was cozy, bustling with locals.
Prime location, 10 minute walk from the Metro station, easy-access, reasonable wait
