Nearly 900 treasures (manuscripts, coins, maps and plans, prints, costumes...) from the collections of the kings of France in a remarkable museum in the heart of Paris, a reading room housed in the splendid oval gallery, a research library and a garden: such is the Richelieu site of what is commonly known as the BNF. A must-see is the Mazarin gallery, built by François Mansart and featuring ceilings painted by Romanelli.

J'ai regretté, cette visite concernant peu d'œuvres, de ne pas pouvoir passer davantage de temps dans le musée pour compléter la visite. La visite guidée étant à 16h, à la fin de celle-ci le musée fermait.
Il faudrait avoir le "droit" d'anticiper la visite guidée. (D'où ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ au lieu de ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)????.
Autrement, indépendamment de la visite guidée, la bibliothèque est superbe et c'est un beau lieu où se rendre en complément (notamment) d'une visite du musée du Louvre. C'est à deux pas, en face du Louvre, et de la Comédie Française, rue Richelieu. Si le cœur vous en dit, un des plus beau lieu de Paris...
