2025
Every year, the Fédération Française des Associations de Chiens Guides d'Aveugles (FFAC) provides more than 220 guide dogs free of charge to visually impaired people, helping to promote their independence and social inclusion. By 2025, 1,500 "handler-dog" duos were active in France. Despite 2 million visually impaired people, only 1% benefit from a guide dog, the cost of which, €25,000, is covered by public donations. The FFAC coordinates breeding, training and free access everywhere.
