The small Barreau de Paris museum has a rich collection on men and lawsuits that marked legal history from the seventeenth century to today. In the very beautiful Porte (seventeenth century), you will find paintings, sculptures, engravings and other documents that will remind you that the legal dress or the title of barrister has existed for several centuries. Fans will be delighted to see Chauveau-Lagarde's (Marie-Antoinette's lawyer) defence speeches, they will also be pleased to read the Zola and Marshal Petain trials, Jean Jaurès' widow’s trial, or the famous Dreyfus case.

J'ai particulièrement suivi la présentation de l'affaire Dreyfus, sur laquelle j'avais lu de nombreux livres. Très intéressant.
Il est situé tout près de l'église Saint-Eustache, qu'il faut en profiter pour visiter également, dans les caves voûtées de l'Hôtel de la Porte. Donc en soi, déjà, sur le plan de l'architecture, cela vaut la peine !
C'est un peu cher ... Se faire inviter ... par un avocat du barreau ;)
