Museum of Decorative Arts offering an incredible panorama of French artistic production, in a wing of the Louvre Palace

The Musée des Arts Décoratifs offers an incredible panorama of French and international artistic production. Housed in a wing of the Louvre palace, it boasts incredible collections built up through donations and bequests. Most existing techniques are showcased: cabinetmaking, woodcarving, goldsmithing, ceramics, painting, embroidery... Other, smaller sites, in Monceau and Raspail, can also be visited.

Opening time and information on MUSÉE DES ARTS DÉCORATIFS

Closed on Mondays, as well as on 25 December, 1 January and 1 May each year. Open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday to Sunday from 11am to 6pm (last visit at 5.15pm); Thursday from 11am to 9pm (last visit at 8.15pm). Please note: on Thursdays, only temporary exhibitions are open at night. The permanent collections close their doors at 5.45 pm. Free until 25 years. Twin ticket (collections + exhibition): 14€. Reduced rate: 10€. Children welcome. Guided tour (themes, 1h30, prices on the museum site). Catering. Shop. Animations. Library.

Bel endroit, personnel sympa, et exposition très bien conçue. L'exposition iris van Herpen était superbement agencée, laissant même un peu d'espace pour le toucher de quelques tissus. Bel endroit.
