The purpose of local representatives against AIDS, whose founding president is Jean-Luc Romero, is to remind local elected representatives that they have a duty to mobilize against AIDS, at a time when there is a significant demobilization of the French, elected, in the fight. Over 10 000 elected representatives signed the manifesto of ELCS, which creates a moral obligation and results, committing them to mobilize for prevention, but also to solidarity and fraternity vis-à-vis HIV-positive people and sick people. Regional and departmental meetings are organized to meet with actors in the fight against AIDS from the political, associative and medical worlds. During these meetings, stakeholders take stock of the epidemic in each of the departments visited and on the actions developed by local communities. They are finally thinking about implementing actions, based on the 11 Life Struggle proposals. Since the creation of ELCS, these meetings have helped to prepare 14 general states that took place in the Senate, the National Assembly, the Regional Council of Ile-de-France and the City Hall of Paris. The ELCS association is organised in network and consists of about departmental delegations.

All sectors of activity - and their supporters - are affected by this gay professional association, which is interested in the AP-HP - Public assistance of the Paris Hospitals - and their ancillary services. Prevention actions, in collaboration with different associations or institutions, are geared towards the fight against AIDS and stis - for users and carers. A monthly evening is organized at The Eagle (1 st). The association obtained a space at Tenon Hospital (20 th).

Gay and Lesbian Associations of the Polytechnic School.

This 70-person literary group, mostly female, was created in 1989 under the auspices of Geneviève Pastre. It supports and encourages the creation of women and especially lesbians by organizing various events: conferences, concerts, exhibitions. This association includes writers, poets, plasticiennes, sculptrices, musicians and their friends. The Octaviennes are once a month - meetings are not open to the public. Have your feathers!

This association that borrows its name to a star is not specifically gay or lesbian. The mission of the Commission is to assist persons, men and women, gay, hetero or transgender in danger of prostitution, and to provide accommodation. There is an accompanying listening service for people who are still in prostitution.

The association is therefore particularly directed to transgendered, travesties, transgendered, hermaphrodite, intersex and their relatives and to the doctors, lawyers, students and social assistants who meet in their work with this population, as well as to all persons who are interested in gender identity issues.
