A place known from the Middle Ages for its tile factory (hence its name), this vast French-controlled garden is one of the favorite walks of the Parisians. Its perspective stretches from the Louvre courtyard to the Arc de Triomphe; Le Nôtre, the gardener of the Louis XIV, will arrange to place him at the same time at the Grand Canal of Versailles. The two pavilions facing the Place de la Concorde welcome exhibitions of painting or photography. This park offers a pleasant relaxing environment to pamper on these green chairs or wander through masterpieces of sculpture from ancient Egyptian to present. It's also a postcard decor for joggers!
