Fnac is a national reference in the world of great cultural distribution. Founded in 1954 by Max Théret and André Essel, it has not always been the cultural temple we know today. Originally, the principle was simple: the creation of books for individuals so that they get discounts from the merchants listed. In order for all domains to be represented and the photo signs did not wish to participate in this list, Max Théret and André Essel create their own Photography company. It is important to note the enormous success of the latter and the large proportion of frameworks that contribute to it. The idea of giving a more cultural dimension at Fnac germe in their minds. The National Procurement Federation becomes the National Procurement Federation. The first store opens in the 60 s, Sevastopol boulevard in Paris. Culture then tends to become democratic and the products proposed are diversifying. The librairie was created in 1974. Now very complete, we find all the domains of publishing, from cooking manuals to tourist guides through literature, humanities, beautiful books, etc. It is therefore almost impossible not to find the book you are looking for. If this is the case, one of the booksellers will be happy to order it. As you will have understood, "Fnac: we can only join '!

KOMIKKU

Comic book store

A manga Bookstore in the Japanese neighborhood! Rather logical, we will say, except that this kind of shop had not had its place in this Japanese enclave and very serious. Here is evidence that the manga takes maturity and quality. At Komikku, you'll find a rich selection of Mangas but also, more rare, a beautiful range of products derived from Ghibli studios. Dynamic and pro, the team organizes meetings and dedications, and vibrates to the world of the manga, Komikku, since 2012, has been diversifying and launching a publishing house, Komikku Editions, now led by Sam Souigbi, entrusting Sonia, his sister, the bookshop! Komikku Editions'first manga is called the Hellish Island of Yusuke Ochiai, the story of a man unjustly condemned to stay on a penitentiary island and screaming revenge!

While today it is possible to find mangas in most bookstores and large distribution groups, this was really not the case in the 1990 s. The Junku bookstore, located on the rue des Pyramides since 1992, is one of the first to have proposed it for sale, especially in original version, and was undoubtedly a real engine in the growth of the Japanese culture in France. Today, you will find all your favorite mangas, in French or Japanese, of stationery, Japanese newspapers and many specialized books (kitchen, martial arts, etc.). A real nucleus for japonophhiles!
