Between a trendy café and a brasserie with an old-fashioned charm, the history of the Zimmer is closely linked to that of the Châtelet theater and that of the Alsatians when it was created in 1896. Indeed, during its history, it has seen all kinds of famous artists, painters and writers come and go. The establishment has maintained this trademark of a chic and traditional restaurant. Nous avons passé un très bon moment.
Quelques points à améliorer cependant :
- les Martinis blanc/rouge servis sans glaçon ni tranche de citron/orange
- la soupe à l’oignon qui a un un goût bœuf bourguignon plutôt que d’oignon : c’était bon mais ce n’est pas vraiment ce qu’on attend d’une soupe à l’oignon.
- la choucroute Zimmer : super garniture, c’est très TRÈS généreux et très bon. Seul bémol sur la choucroute elle-même qui n’est pas à la hauteur (goût classique de choucroute en boîte). C’est dommage car sinon ça aurait été un top!
En conclusion, malgré les quelques améliorations à apporter, c’est un bon restaurant, une bonne adresse. Nous y reviendrons certainement avec plaisir.
