A bridge with a special charm, whose deck is raised horizontally when a boat has to pass over the Ourcq canal.
With its four pulleys hoisted on pylons, this sober metal structure has a particular charm... It's a lift bridge. Its deck is raised horizontally when a boat needs to pass from the Canal de l'Ourcq to the Bassin de La Villette, or vice versa. In this case, car traffic on the rue de Crimée is stopped, while pedestrian traffic is permanently assured by an arched footbridge, also made of metal. The footbridge and bridge were renovated a few years ago. A unique place, full of charm.
