The place is atypical, installed on a 1950s barge which for several decades sailed from adventure to adventure until it was taken over by Cyrille Bruneau. Cyrille Bruneau has turned it into a café, but also a hub of knowledge and exchange around nature, plants and gardens. The books on offer cover a wide range of subjects: landscaping, horticulture, botanical drawing... Natural well-being enthusiasts will find references on sylvotherapy, ancestral recipes such as those of Hildegarde de Bingen... The barge, whose name evokes a certain Gaston Bachelard, also offers events: workshops (plant painting, terrariums), symposia...

We visited this café on a Sunday, when they only have brunch menu. For 28€ xou get a sandwich with salmon/bacon/vegetarian, potatoes and a salad. Unlimited coffee, juice and desserts. The food was really good, but there was a lot of it, so we didn’t have much room for dessert.
