The staff was very rude. No one came for 15 minutes and we took the menu ourselves. As it turned out, we were in the wrong place. But instead of telling us about it - the waiters snatched the menu from us and started laughing in our faces, standing right above us, and then laughing left - without saying anything.

The most frustrating thing is that when we came around 1pm they had already ran out of croissants. This is a restaurant that closes after 11pm. How come they ran out of their signature item only a few hours after opening and they don't make anymore throughout the day??

The rest of the menu is very overpriced for being just average. Average tuna club sandwich, average scrambled eggs, even average coffee. Not bad but not great either.

In summary, don't follow TikTok trends and save your money for something more worthy.

We were waiting, but the wait wasn’t long since it was just the two of us, and we got seated inside.
We ordered hot chocolate, an Americano coffee, and mille-feuille.

Love the hot chocolate, waited for a bit but it was totally worth it. The waiter was a bit hard to reach out for the order or bill, service was alright, but the food was great!

Amazing famous hot chocolate and pain au chocolat!! Atmosphere is bustling and touristy but worth the wait! Price is higher then other places but that’s to be expected given the popularity

Carette überzeugt mit exzellentem Gebäck, feinem Frühstück und eleganter Atmosphäre. Die Macarons sind himmlisch, die heiße Schokolade ein Traum und das Croissant butterzart.
???? Perfekt für eine kleine Auszeit mit Pariser Flair – sowohl drinnen als auch auf der Terrasse.
???? Preislich gehoben, aber gerechtfertigt durch Qualität und Lage.

Endroit sympa avec un beau cadre. Dommage que l’expérience ait été gâchée. Avec une amie, on avait pris un dessert et un café, on a payé puis on s’apprêtait à partir quand un serveur m’a attrapée par l’épaule en criant qu’on n’avait pas payé. C’était humiliant, surtout devant tout le monde. On s’est senties clairement jugées sûrement parce que l’on est deux personnes de couleur assez bronzé. Heureusement, son collègue a confirmé qu’on avait bien réglé et s’est excusé à sa place. Je me suis sentie discriminée, dommage qu’il existe encore des gens comme ça car le lieu est agréable.

$25 euro for two cups of hot chocolate os criminal. Also the menu does NOT mention you pay per cup for the hot chocolate, so you can imagine my surprise when I saw the check! I do not understand the hype, maybe it is because we did not order food. Hot chocolate was fine, very rich but nothing to wait in a long line for.

The food was delicious, but unfortunately the staff were very rude. Their attitude really affected our overall experience. If you plan to visit, be prepared to manage your stress levels in advance.

We visited Carette at Trocadéro and ordered the croissant, pain au chocolat, palmier, and of course, their signature hot chocolate which was rich, delicious, and beautifully topped with whipped cream. The palmier was our favorite.

The service was excellent. We were initially seated at a table we didn’t like, but when we asked to move, the staff kindly accommodated us without hesitation and gave us a much better spot.

Highly recommend going early in the morning to avoid long lines we went early and were seated immediately. Great overall experience!

مكان الفرع متميز بصراحة بسبب قربه من مطل رائع لبرج ايفل.

waiter was warm and welcoming and accommodated for our group which included 5 miserable kids. The hot chocolate was delicious and every drink comes with a complementary biscuit. Lovely experience for tourists to the city of Paris.

Clients à la chaîne, on ne peut quasiment pas rester après la fin du petit déjeuner, on vous fait comprendre de dégager, mal accepté après qu'on vous ait encaissé. Chocolat chaud meilleur ailleurs et pâtisserie également. Pour une dépense en moyenne de 30€ par personne (café 8€ !!, ), je passe mon chemin la prochaine fois.

By far the best hot chocolate in Paris! It’s in a touristy area and so there is a wait line but it is worth it! The service was very nice and I enjoyed my dining experience! This will always be on my list when visiting!

I ordered the Petit Déjeuner set, which included a hot chocolate, a glass of juice (choice between orange or grapefruit), a pastry of your choice, and a slice of toast with jam. The hot chocolate was indulgent and creamy—classic Parisian style—and you can opt for a Chantilly upgrade at an additional €3.50 if you’re feeling fancy.

While the food and ambiance hit the right notes, it’s worth noting that this particular Carette location doesn’t offer a view of the Eiffel Tower—something some might expect. Still, it delivers a lovely breakfast experience overall, ideal for a relaxed Parisian morning.

Would recommend for: solo travelers, casual breakfast meetings, or anyone looking to enjoy classic French café fare in a refined setting.

Waited about 20 minutes for the outside seating for breakfast. The scrambled eggs with ham and cheese was soft in the middle and was cooked to perfection. The croissant was also good. The waitress was friendly and attentive. I was afraid Carette would not live up to the hype but was quite pleased, and would definitely recommend it.
