A group of gardens offering an instructive, soothing, and intoxicating stroll, with a wide variety of tree species.
Several gardens adjoin the Auteuil greenhouses, in French, English, Japanese and Mediterranean styles. Built in 1890 by J-C. Formigé, the greenhouses feature elegant metal architecture and thousands of plant collections: succulents, palms, ferns... But this beautiful botanical park has been reduced by the extension of the Roland-Garros stadium. After a bitter legal battle, four new greenhouses were built.

Il faut y aller vite avant que Roland Garros ne prenne la place... Mais que c'est désuet poussiéreux et mal entretenu. De loin, la majesté des verrières temoigne de ce que ce site a du être au temps de sa splendeur. Las ! Ce temps est révolu. Et les plus belles collections (orchidées) ne se visitent pas par crainte du vandalisme.
