Museum organizing temporary exhibitions and events on themes related to the writer Honoré de Balzac.
From 1840 to 1847, Honoré de Balzac lived in this house high above the village of Passy under the name of Monsieur de Breugnol, a pseudonym designed to fool his creditors. It was here that he put the finishing touches to his masterly Comédie humaine. On display are personal effects, paintings and engravings, as well as originals of some of his most famous manuscripts. The museum also organizes temporary exhibitions and events on themes related to the writer.
