J'ai apprécié l'endroit mais j'ai dû quitter pour régler un problème et on a refusé que je poursuive ma visite plus tard. Il y avait peu de personnes dans ce petit musée peu visité. Je suis très déçue.

What a gem! Definitely take the guided tour. Our guide was fantastic and brought Giacometti the man, the history of the story, and his art to life. You’ll learn so much in a short span of time and will gain a deeper understating of what the artist was trying to achieve. All housed in a wonderful historic building.

Ou sont les oeuvres de Giacommetti ? A part la reconstitution de l'atelier, très peu d'oeuvres, minuscule lieu d'exposition lieu logé dans un grand immeule !!!!! Trop cher, la visite ne vaut pas plus de 3 Euros

Interesting temporary exhibit in a cool building but not a ton to see otherwise, and not a lot of informational panels. Friendly staff!

Just a bit disappointed that the entire space was not filled with Giacometti's work. Other artists dominated the space.

One of the best museum experiences we’ve ever had. Go for the free docent led tour of Giacometti’s work on Sunday morning. Invaluable in understanding this incredible artist and his work. Lovely space has its own history and is located right across from the Montparnasse Cemetery so you can spend time there afterward.

C’est une pépite !
Installé dans un superbe hôtel particulier Art déco, le lieu lui-même vaut déjà le détour. On y découvre l’œuvre et l’intimité de l’artiste dans un espace à taille humaine, élégant et parfaitement pensé.
L’atelier reconstitué est bouleversant de vérité, on a l’impression que Giacometti vient de s’absenter quelques minutes. Les expositions temporaires, toujours soignées et riches, permettent de redécouvrir son travail sous un angle nouveau.
Un moment suspendu, hors du temps. À ne pas manquer pour les amoureux d’art et de poésie visuelle.

En soit la visite est sympathique mais très rapide. Cela ne vaut peut-être pas 9 euros pour ceux qui doivent payer plein tarif (ce qui n'a pas été mon cas). La reconstitution de l'atelier est superbe, on s'imprègne de l'ambiance. J'ai eu du mal à saisir la mise en lien avec les travaux d'un autre artiste (dessinant lui même si j'ai bien compris avec sa jeune nièce). La bibliothèque est un lieu appréciable où j'aurais aimé prendre le temps de me poser un peu plus, mais personne de présent pour nous dire si cela était possible.

énorme deception (frustration plutôt) et manque d'information pour le dernier jour de l'exposition Morandi....rien dans le site internet sur le fait qu'il n'y avait pas de billets à vendre sur place, vous auriez pu mieux vous organiser pour permettre aux quelques personnes qui se sont déplacés de pouvoir y acceder quand même....soif de culture!!

A stunning and ingenious renovation, making full use of every inch of space while still providing ample room for both exhibits and visitors' visual experience. Through the elegant introduction by the staff, one can understand that while this modern space is impressive, it is not always the most convenient—books tend to fall off, and the ticketing area at the entrance has a layout that makes it easy to knock over brochures onto the floor. During the visit, I deeply felt how easily this Art Deco-style space could become crowded. Although Giacometti’s works remain unaffected by any external factors—just like his lifelong journey of self-exploration and reflection—limiting visitor numbers would certainly make the experience more comfortable.

I was delighted to purchase postcards as a way to show support. The staff possessed extensive artistic knowledge, handled all inquiries with elegance, and professionally reorganized any accidentally displaced items. They maintained composure while making an effort to communicate in English (French being the primary language) and even handled agitated visitors with humor—this truly impressed me.

I recommend purchasing tickets in advance. If the venue is too crowded, please be patient, as forcing your way in will not bring you joy. I plan to revisit during an off-peak period for a more thorough experience.

Un petit bijou d'architecture et de décoration intérieure. Pour amateurs d'Art Nouveau et d'Art Déco. Pour la lumière, l'esthétique des lieux et le charme qui s'en dégage. Pour Giacometti, dont l'atelier a été reconstitué et qui bénéficie de visites guidées. Un lieu hors du temps, une visite
vraiment magique.
