It represents some 525 689 licensees and 4 745 clubs in 32 Regional Leagues (including eight Overseas) and 95 Departmental Committees. It trains federal leaders, leaders, trainers and coaches and issues federal titles. Since 1988, the French Basketball Federation manages the practice of all its national championships except Pro A, Pro B and their Hope championships that are under the responsibility of the LNB (National Basketball League).

The association participates in national and international tournaments. Training takes place on weekdays in different gyms in the capital (see site for addresses) from 20 pm. These trainings are organized into groups of levels.
