Hostel rated top 10 in a magazine offering what you can find in a design hotel.
This Parisian youth hostel, located in the middle of three villages: Mouffetard, the Chinese Quarter and the Latin Quarter, is the Rolls of its category. It offers everything you can find in a design hotel. The hotel is very close to the city centre and the hotel is close by. Double rooms have their own bathroom, TV and dormitories have parquet floors. An information booth with leaflets about everything you need to know about Paris is available, and the staff, very courteous, is always ready to help you. Je sors d'une nuit que je qualifierais de correct, d'où le 4/5 (pour une auberge évidemment, il ne faut pas se comparer avec un hôtel).
De mon expérience : la chambre de 4 était correct avec un sanitaire pour la chambre, RAS sur la propreté, litterie un peu molle, personnel de jeunes étrangers (mais correspond au gros de la clientèle donc ok), petits coffres taille sac à main disponibles sur le palier.
Les 2 côtes négatifs de mon expérience : l'hostel ne prend que le cash (mais DAB à 50m), et qu'on me demande une autre pièce d'identité car le permis ne leur suffisait pas (pour le personnel qui me lira le permis de conduire est un justificatif d'identité valable en France ????)

El recepcionista de la noche habla español y fue muy amable respondiendo todas nuestras consultas. El resto apenas comunicativos. Habitaciones muy bien. Área comun un poco chica. El resto de los huéspedes ruidoso fue difícil dormir una noche. La zona muy linda.

It's OK. But could be better.
The bad:
The bed mattresses are sagging in the center and not flat. They make an horrible sound everytime someone moves so it can be hard to sleep. Every time someone flushes the toilet in the building the water from the shower gets burning hot, which is quite messed up. Also the water gets everywhere because there is no proper shower base or curtain so the bathroom floor is always wet. Breakfast is 3 euros and mediocre (croissant, stale bread and cereals). Everything needs to be rented like towels or even board game which is kinda funny. There is no outdoor sitting area not even a bench in front or small balcony.
The good:
Close from metro or walking distance from center. Has woman only dorm. Nice view from the balcony of our room with big windows. Only 4 persons per room. Feels safe. Friendly staff. Pretty clean. Price is ok but could be a bit cheaper but it's Paris.

1. Il est certes impossible d'annuler une réservation passé 48h, ce qui est normal. Mais quand vous faites par erreur une réservation la veille, que vous appelez tout de suite le standard pour leur dire que vous vous êtes trompés de jour et que vous souhaitez annuler la réservation "on ne peut rien faire pour vous".
Après de multiples échanges par mail, ils n'ont rien voulu savoir. Pas étonnant avec ce genre d'attitude, qu'il y'ait autant d'avis négatifs finalement...
2. N'ayant pas pu venir, l'auberge m'a bien débité 89€, puisque ma carte avait servi pour l'enregistrement, mais très étrangement, ils n'acceptent que le paiement en espèce sur place...
Bref je n'y ai pas séjourné mais je vous conseille de trouver votre bonheur ailleurs vu la multitude de proposition d'hébergement sur Paris.
