Promenade Plantée, an unusual itinerary between Bastille and Bois de Vincennes.
This 4.5 km long greenway stretches across the 12th arrondissement, from Avenue Daumesnil to the edge of Saint-Mandé, not far from the Bois de Vincennes. Very original, it allows you to walk sometimes overhanging the road, sometimes under it. Created in 1988, it follows the old railway line that linked the Place de la Bastille to La Varenne-Saint-Maur from 1859 to 1969. This green path is surprising! It crosses a lot of green spaces and places preserving nature while the district, rather "bourgeois", does not lend itself especially to it.
