The museum focuses on the Belle Epoque and the Interbellum in France and especially on the fairgrounds from this era. Since we are the greatest admirers of Woody Allen’s film Midnight in Paris, we were filled with joy when we got to actually ride the human powered bicycle carousel seen in that movie!
Our guide, the ever flamboyant Libert, was very knowledgeable and just as important: very enthusiastic! We felt his passion right through our hearts.
This museum is an absolute must-go for anyone interested in French 19th and early 20th century history!!! Go visit it!
