RATP is synonymous with the metro: 16 lines and 308 stations form a veritable spider's web that takes you just about everywhere, and a network that continues to expand. The Réseau Express Régional (RER) operated by RATP comprises 2 lines (A and B, co-operated with SNCF, which manages the other three lines C, D and E). There are also 14 tramway lines in the Ile-de-France region, 9 of which are operated directly by RATP.
