FlixBus is a German start-up that came into being in 2013 with the aim of simplifying travel in Europe. In just a few years, the company has become a leader, and today boasts Europe's largest long-distance bus network. Reservations are simple (on the website), and - once settled in - passengers can take advantage of the various services set up: mobile app, free wifi, real-time GPS tracking of buses. From Paris, departures are from Gare de Bercy, and various locations are served.

OuiBus has become BlaBlaBus, and now BlaBlaCar Bus! The name may have changed, but the service has stayed the same: the brand's bus service is longer, but also much more economical, linking the capital with many French cities, including Rennes, Lyon and Lille. Today, most buses arrive and depart from the Bercy-Seine bus station, but others arrive elsewhere, such as at Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle airport.

Today, the terminal absorbs most of the bus traffic of the various companies linking Paris to provincial cities and foreign capitals. It has expanded in recent years, following the closure of other terminals such as Porte Maillot, and is conveniently located just a few dozen meters from the metro. Unfortunately, this is the only good thing about it: old and dirty, it's not a good place to stay for too long.
