Culture Sèvres

The adult space consists of books, compact discs and MP 3, DVD, VHS (fiction and documentaries). The "studies" area includes encyclopedias, dictionaries, reference books, local background on the history of Sèvres, the department and the region, a former th, th and th centuries old. The hall has over 100 journals to consult or take over, the daily press, and 380 books published between 1843 and 1914 by Pierre-Jules Hetzel, a writer known as P.J. Stahl, and his son Louis-Jules (on the spot). The multimedia space offers Internet access, CD consultation and multimedia documentation. The music space is open to compact disc loans, partitions, music books, and DVD. The youth area is structured around books, magazines, compact discs, Dvds, VHS, and ludo-educational cds. Every Wednesday every Wednesday can attend the clock at 10 pm; 11 h from 4 years, and one Saturday per Month: the "tales of this tell me" at 16 p. m. and for all.

These conferences can also focus on educational educational issues, as well as on problems encountered by mediators in national education, as well as on literary writers. These are ordered and set up in the face of repeated questioning in our societies. This is a good way to report the current problems and the thoughts known or less known of our literary and social actors in and on Sèvres. The C.I.E.P., the international centre for educational studies, is the place where these participatory and pasionnants speeches take place, and may occasionally lead to more decisions.

Thematic conferences are open to every audience and follow guided tours on Saturday and Sunday. They have been created since the National Ceramics Museum and the National Manufacture of Sèvres are assembled in public administrative establishments of the Ministry of Culture and Communication: Sèvres-cited of ceramics. These are lectures on the history of Sèvres, the large vases, the majoliques, the gold work, the masterpieces of the collections, chinoiseries and japonaiseries. 

The Friends of the National Museum of Ceramics are organizing a series of conferences where it is possible to learn from the treasures of knowledge about faïence, ceramic relations between countries, artistic salt sandstone, inovateurs or modernized ceramics, contemporary, classical, neo-classical ceramics, the Italian biscuit, Limoges and its porcelain, China and its paradox of the th and th centuries painted enamel. In short, a gold mine of knowing about all the ways of working the ceramic materials through the unusual civilizations or creations that crossed their history will be revealed to you.

It is each time a documentary followed by a debate with its director, and always a discovery of the wonders of the world, their natural sites, peoples and customs, to their cultures. For each session, a sharing of the passions, encounters and surprises that staked the development of one of these stories on the world's land allows you, with those who experienced them, to make a road and adventure. Very beautiful opportunities to enter the world by the living paintings of explorers who love landscapes or/and peoples who animate them. 

Esc@le brings together the information cluster, which is the Youth Information Office. Project aid, which is a local support point participating with Desire to Act-Accompaniment, with the help of young project providers. Operation Bag Teen, with the support for a first autonomous departure on vacation (16-22 years), methodological and/or financial assistance in the framework of the "initiative awards" (city of Sèvres) and devices Desire to Act by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The Point Cyb computer cluster is a young digital space. The animation-organization of the leisure activities of 12-17 years during school holidays opens on à la carte activities, exits, theme weeks, mini-stays. Most of the esc@le has as its objective a summer job operation from May to September; services of connections: Baby sitting, school support/homework support, services to individuals. It also includes training for first aid: CHP 1 (Level 1 civic prevention and relief) and IPS (initiation to early paediatric aid) with the Red Cross of Sèvres; they also gather thematic days.

Sèvres-Ville-d'Avray is a charming town in the Île-de-France region, near Boulogne-Billancourt. The AVF offers a wide range of events and meetings throughout the year, including cultural, creative, linguistic and leisure activities. You'll also have the opportunity to meet other residents of Sèvres and Ville-d'Avray and share convivial moments. Office hours are held at the Maison des Associations in Sèvres and the Foyer des Associations in Ville-d'Avray.
