Museum to discover both the history of the Domaine de Seaux, the Paris region, and many paintings, drawings
This castle, built between 1856 and 1862 for the Duke and Duchess of Treviso (on the site of the former castle of Colbert), houses the Museum of Ile-de-France. It is a place where one can discover the history of the Domaine de Sceaux, the Paris region, and numerous paintings, drawings, ceramics and pieces of furniture. The Orangery (a 17th century masterpiece by Jules Hardouin-Mansart) is the venue for temporary exhibitions dedicated to the history of the region.
