Museum housing works by Consuelo, George-Achille Fould, Ferdinand Roybet and sculptures by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux
Located in the Parc de Bécon, the Musée Roybet-Fould occupies the villa-atelier of Consuelo Fould (1862-1927), granddaughter of banker Achille Fould, Minister of Finance under Napoleon III. This is the former Swedish and Norwegian pavilion, built for the 1878 Universal Exhibition. Made entirely of Norwegian red pine, it was one of the first examples of prefabricated architecture. The museum features works by Consuelo and Georges Achille-Fould, Ferdinand Roybet (1840-1920) and sculptures by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux (1827-1875).
