The house of Jean Cocteau, in Milly-la-Forêt, is a memorable place to visit.
A multi-talented artist, Jean Cocteau took refuge in Milly-la-Forêt in 1947, fleeing the hustle and bustle of Paris. In this former outbuilding of the Château de la Bonde, the poet was able to dream and create. A lover of unusual objects, Jean Cocteau surrounded himself in Milly with what he loved. The furniture and objects give the whole a cabinet-of-curiosities feel. Since 2024, Jean Marais' former bedroom has paid tribute to Jean Cocteau's former companion. The tour of the house is guided by a mediator who will plunge you into the poet's world.

Pauvre Cocteau.
