The villages of the Four and the Jacquets are small, picturesque and welcoming oysters. They are also included in inventory of classified sites. You will enjoy walking through the alleyways of the diverse houses, cabins and small hangars. The streets will surprise you: They're lined with oysters! A pleasant picnic area is available to the Jacquets: Located at the top of a very wooded dune on the side of Petit Piquey, it offers very nice views of the Arcachon Basin and the surrounding coast. At the top of the dune, a small wooden staircase allows you to reach a small quiet beach below. To know, a shipyard existed at the Four, built in 1889, served at the base as chai! Which means… that Le Four used to exploit the vine in another time!
