Cascades du Hérisson at Menétrux-en-Joux, featuring thirty-one jumps, including seven large cascades over 3.7 km and a vertical drop of 255 m.

31 jumps including 7 large waterfalls over 3.7 km, and a difference in height of 255 m... You can understand why 500,000 visitors converge on this site every year. The trail can be reached from several points. Starting from the bottom, the Eventail waterfall (65 m). Then gain the Grand Saut (60 m) by climbing some laces. The good walkers start from the top, from Ilay or Bonlieu, starting with the Saut Girard (35 m) and ending with the most impressive ones. Whichever way you go, plan to do the round trip, which is 7.4 km for just under 3 hours.

Opening time and information on HEDGEHOG CASCADES

Information point open from April to September, weekends from April to mid-June and the last 3 weekends of September from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Every day from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. in high season. Pay parking (includes access to 2 exhibitions and 20-minute films): free up to 20 minutes. Up to 1 hour €4, 1 to 3 hours €6, 3 to 5 hours €8, over 5 hours €10.

Magnifique lieu bien aménagé. Le parking est gratuit en haut du sentier et payant en bas à la maison des cascades. 20 premières minutes gratuites. Manque juste de poubelle sur les parcours. A faire pour en prendre plein les yeux et les oreilles. Prévoir un k way suivant si vous vous approchez de certaines cascades.
