Brasserie in Lons-le-Saunier serving traditional sauerkraut and other regional dishes.

Edouard Courlan runs this historic establishment, a veritable institution. The "rocaille" decor is superb, worthy of the great brasseries of the 19th century (it was built at the same time as the theater: 1850). Ideally located on the town's central square, this brasserie offers regional gastronomy. Of course, there's the traditional sauerkraut, but other dishes in the brasserie spirit are also on the menu, offering excellent cuisine. A large terrace is available for dinner, lunch or a drink.

Une expérience décevante… je peux comprendre le manque de personnel mais un sourire est utile. Après avoir trouvé un énorme bout de verre dans un verre d’eau (accident évité de justesse), avoir réclamé notre pichet 3 fois de vin rouge servi beaucoup trop frais, nous n’avons pas été pris en considération. La seule chose annoncée par le patron : je fais des gestes commerciaux à hauteur de 1000€ par an, je connais mon métier, ça fait 45 ans que je le pratique. Mais pas même Un café offert et ça aurait suffit mais il semblerait que nous ne soyons pas assez interessants …
