BOISSELLERIE MUSEUM

Bois d'Amont was the capital of spruce cheese boxes. The trade is still present. This museum tells its history and explains its techniques. It is located on the banks of the Orbe, in the buildings of an old sawmill and mill. The visit begins outside with the wood "in trees". Inside, the equipment is in operation: the barker, the stapler and the water wheel. This is how you discover the spruce tree from its growth to the finished products: medicine boxes, cheese boxes, cases, but also comtoise clock cabinets and skis.
