PSA PRODUCTION SITE
In the th century Jean-Jacques Peugeot, a sucker of his state, sent his children and grandchildren a grain mill, the "Moulin Sous-" in Hérimoncourt. His descendants Jean-Pierre II and Jean-Frédéric Peugeot built the mill in steel foundry. At the end of the th century, Peugeot industries moved to Beaulieu where the production of cycles began. In 1889, the first steam tricycle (Serpollet-Peugeot), the first motor vehicle, came out of the workshops to be presented at the world exposition in Paris. In 1912, it was the installation of the Sochaux factory in the Plaine plain. Today Peugeot's plants have become PSA Peugeot Citroën and are still installed at the Sochaux-Montbéliard origin Site with 22 000 employees, and 2 000 cars coming out of manufacturing lines every day.
