A cheese factory where you can discover the secrets of cheese-making and the passionate professionals who have made the region famous.

Fort Saint-Antoine, built in 1880 at an altitude of 1,100 metres, has been a unique experience since Marcel Petite transformed it into a cheese-ageing cellar in 1966. This underground cathedral houses 100,000 wheels of Comté cheese, creating the ideal setting for slow, low-temperature ripening. During 1h30, you'll discover the history of the fort turned cellar and the secrets of the cheese's maturing technique. The tasting workshop that accompanies the tour is a sensory immersion that will let you savor Comté in a whole new way!

Information and registration by phone: 03 81 69 31 21 or 03 81 49 14 34 (closed Saturday afternoons, Sundays and public holidays). Visits every day in summer and during school vacations. Wednesday afternoons, outside vacation periods. Even in summer, bring warm clothing and closed shoes. Guided tours (reservation only).

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre visite du fort de Saint Antoine. Ce fut un vrai bonheur pour les yeux mais aussi en terme de découverte du comté et du fort.

Une super visite pour les amateurs de comté.

For all to see county, it is the perfect place. A small Prévoyer " laine" , the weather is cool in the fort. Discovered, explanations, tastings are the " menu". To see!
