For a month, the former city of the princes of Pontarlier comes alive and sparkles with colour with its remarkable Christmas market.

This Christmas market has been a must since 1987. Today, it is one of the most popular Christmas markets in France. 450,000 visitors flock to the market over the course of a month. It's well worth the trip to this picturesque historic city, shaped over four centuries by the Princes of Württemberg and Schickhardt. The magic of Christmas descends on the city, thanks to the breathtaking illuminations and the abundance of shows and exhibitors, including local ones who make it a point of honor to take part.
