Saint-Jean-Baptiste church, a masterpiece of Baroque art in Corsica, with its campanile visible from all around.

One of Corsica's masterpieces of Baroque art! The church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste was completed in 1648 and has been a listed monument since 1975. The slender bell tower, with its sumptuous 45-metre-high campanile crowned by a small hexagonal dome, has been well restored and is visible from a thousand miles around. The interior of the church is also well worth a visit: richly decorated and beautifully furnished. The organ dates from 1780.
