LA RANDONNÉE DU PLATEAU D'ALZU

The departure is at the top of the Baliri road that goes up behind the citadel of Corte. The path follows and overhangs the Tavignano by its left bank, before crossing it by the Rusulino footbridge after about 3 hours. At 970 m above sea level, the path leaves the banks of the Tavignano and follows a stream. It takes another 2 hours to walk to the plateau and the sheepfolds of Alzu. From the plateau, you can see many peaks including the Paglia Orba and Monte Cinto
