A forest of lariccio pines and beech trees, home to flora and fauna endemic to Porto-Vecchio. Departure point for several hikes

The Ospedale forest is enchanting. The village takes its name "u Spidali" from an old hospital that welcomed travellers and shepherds on their way to the mountains as early as the 15th century. Fountain, sun clock, grand staircases and stone houses remind us of life in the past. Around the village, a forest of lariccio pines and beeches shelters an endemic fauna and flora. Higher up, its dam draws a surprising scenery. Then, a few steps away, a marked path leads to the Piscia di Ghjaddu waterfall, a spectacular 60-metre waterfall!

Respirez ! Vous êtes au coeur de l' Ospedale. Détendez vous au bord du lac artificiel qui a des allures de lac canadien. Faites un peu de sport sur le parcours d' accrobranches qui se trouve non loin du lac. Relaxez vous en marchant à travers la forêt. Bref, PRO-FI-TEZ. Ici la nature est sublime, avec ses cascades, ses pins, sa vue plus haut du côté de Zonza. Ici tout est fait pour se ressourcer alors ne vous gênez pas et n'oubliez pas : on ne jette pas ses déchets dans la nature !

A magnificent site... a huge lake surrounded by a beautiful pine forest! La digue 25 metres is equally impressive! And what about the stunning views of the golf of Porto Vecchio... On this road that will take you to Zonza, and aiguilles de Bavella, some small parking areas will allow you to stop to take cliché sublime view that offers this road 368! Do not miss, the small a pedestrian that will take you to the waterfall Piscia di Gallu... 60 metres from falls!! Still one of the many wonders that this Corsica!!
