Since 1991, Isabelle Courrèges has succeeded in developing her vineyard, which has become one of the region's best-known and is HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) certified. The typical Corsican grape varieties (vermentinu for whites, sciaccarellu and niellucciu for reds and rosés) produce wines of character. The Cuvée Guillaume, aged in oak barrels for the red, and also available in white, will surprise you with its complexity and originality. Domaine de Pratavone is located in the heart of the maquis in the Taravu valley, in Pila-Canale. Founded in the 60s by Jean Courrèges, the winery is now run by his daughter, Isabelle, a passionate oenologist. With 50 hectares of vines, cultivated according to the principles of sustainable agriculture, it produces a wide range of wines. These fully express the identity of the Ajaccio appellation, with a subtle balance between character and finesse. In fact, the estate's wines are carefully crafted from Corsican grape varieties, notably Sciaccarello, which brings great originality. You can, for example, indulge in the Cuvée Tradition red. With its undeniable aromatic power, this wine is ideal with sauce dishes and red meat. The Cuvée Tradition White, made from vermentinu grapes, also deserves special attention. On the nose, it is elegant and expressive, with aromas of white fruits and flowers. This white wine, distinguished by its finesse and volume, can be enjoyed as an aperitif, with cheese or fish. The house also offers Cuvées Prestige, with rosé, red and white wines. A good address for wine lovers and connoisseurs!
