Church that rises its elegant facade in the middle of a field in Grossa

In the plain towards Sartene by the Departmental 21, the San Ghjuvan Battista Chapel of the mid-12th century is a masterpiece of Pisan art, built near a Roman site. This church has celebrated few religious services, as the territory, constantly threatened by the barbarians, was often deserted. It stands with its elegant façade in the middle of a field and it is like an anachronistic and majestic apparition.
