Domaine Comte Peraldi, set in the hills overlooking the Gulf of Ajaccio, is one of the jewels in the crown of island viticulture. This family-run wine estate was replanted in 1965 by the Comte de Poix. At the same time, the cellars were completely rebuilt. The vineyard comprises 45 hectares of vines. Its wines, recognized for their quality by the greatest specialists, can no longer be presented, they can be tasted. The Domaine obtained organic certification in 2022. Visits and tastings at the estate by appointment.

The way he conveyed the significance and beauty of indigenous grapes like Sciaccarellu and Vermentinu was informative & inspiring. We could feel his love for the land and its traditions, making each tasting a meaningful experience. Every cuvée told a story, and the nuances of each wine—from label to aroma to finish—were perfectly framed in experience. Becuase it is harvest time, we got a unique look into the winemaking process in action, from vinification to bottling.
What stood out most was how he bridged the gap between heritage and innovation, giving us a true appreciation of what makes Corsican wines so unique. This was more than just a tour—it was an intimate look into the soul of Ajaccio's wine culture. We left Domaine Comte Peraldi with a deepened respect for Corsican wines and a newfound love for this remarkable region.
