A key meeting place for many events in Ajaccio
Piazza d'Olmo, where the city's only gate once stood. Here, nestled in a facade, is the statue of Our Lady of Mercy, the Madunuccia, patron saint of the town, fervently celebrated on March 18. It's a place you can't miss. In summer, the square becomes a meeting place for numerous events, at the cool of the Four Lions fountain, the work of Jérôme Maglioli, with, at its center, a marble first consul, by Laboureur. The changing of the guard takes place here every Thursday at 7 p.m. in July and August.
