Scuba diving and snorkeling Ajaccio

A nice little structure in an idyllic setting, managed by Jean-Pierre Vignocchi, which offers to the amateurs of underwater discovery a whole range of formulas: from a baptism to the exploration to the card and even discoveries in palmed excursion of the Sanguinaires islands. Two comfortable and perfectly equipped boats. A good atmosphere where local divers and tourists in search of sensations mix. The advantage: access to more than 20 exploration sites and 4 sites for baptism, including the large island of the Sanguinaires.

E Ragnole stands out as a dynamic, young diving club, ideally located on Trottel beach in the heart of Ajaccio. The club offers exploration dives as well as training courses, and is also a federal examination center. Services include the sale and rental of MARES brand diving equipment. Under the direction of Christian Aragon, BEES 2 and regional instructor, the club has two 9-meter boats, with capacity for 14 and 24 divers respectively.

The site extends in depth from 8 to 42 meters, located approximately 500 meters from the coast on the road to the Sanguinaires Islands. Two rocky points, a few dozen meters apart, characterize the area. The first rises to 8 metres, while the second reaches 12 metres. Just at the foot of these elevations, a huge flat stone rests on a rocky mass, allowing you to pass beneath it. It is this stone that gives the site its name. Heading north, a canyon appears, reaching a depth of around 45 metres.

An imposing boulder lies between 22 and 42 meters below the surface. Moving away from this boulder on the sand, a gentle slope descends to 47 meters, where a drop-off of madrepores extends to a depth of around 70 meters. As for the flora and fauna, the boulder is adorned with red gorgonians, while lobsters, capons, moray eels, conger eels, dentex and amberjacks are frequently seen in the open water. A magical place.
